Ellen Dickinson

Ellen Dickinson is the Head of Theatre Arts at Collaboration Dance Arts, bringing a wealth of experience, creativity, and passion to every class she leads. Professionally trained at Preston College Dance (PCD) and having further refined her skills at esteemed institutions across the UK, Ellen has developed a versatile and dynamic approach to dance education. Gaining a degree in Dance Teaching, Choreography and Performance, as well as teaching diplomas in Modern Theatre and Tap, Ellen has gone on to seek further qualification in both RAD Ballet as well as Acrobatic Arts.

She has worked across a wide range of dance genres and now specialises in Theatre Arts, with a particular focus on jazz and commercial dance. Ellen’s choreographic work has been featured on major platforms including the CYD? Convention in Liverpool, performances at Disneyland Paris, and numerous festivals and competitions throughout the UK.

In addition to her studio teaching, Ellen has experience and training in delivering dance within school settings, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum. Her SEND experience and training further enable her to adapt lessons to support a wide range of learning needs, ensuring all students can access and enjoy dance in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Ellen is passionate about building strong technical foundations while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Whether her students dream of a career on stage or simply want to enjoy the art of dance, Ellen nurtures their journey with professionalism, warmth, and heart. Outside the studio, Ellen enjoys life at home with her partner and their miniature dachshund, Toby. Together, they love beach walks, brunches, and settling into their new home. Ellen is thrilled to be partnering into Collaboration Dance Arts and looks forward to seeing you in class!
